I just discovered something about the handbrake

So last night, I went to my car to go to the store. I parked in a spot with some snow/ice on it, but it is my spot. So I shifted the car into reverse to get out, and was expecting the auto transmission to move the car slowly, you know, without accelerating. But the car would not move. So I thought, "maybe I'm on some snow, let me give it a little bit more gas" So I was accelerating more, but my car was not moving, and I serioulsy thought that my tires were slipping on the ice. Then I kepted hearing this beeping noise, the same kind that you hear when you leave your keys in the car and have the door open, as well as when you leave your lights on and open the door. So, anyways, I was hearing this beeping noise, which made me turn my heard forward, as I was looking back. Then I realized my hand brake was on by looking at the red BRAKE light. What a great thing to include in the car! I would've never thought an 'ecocnmy' car would have a feature like this! I am even more impressed with the Yaris now.

Now, if only the yaris would have traction control......
