Transmission service at 100,000
I am getting close to my 100,000 mile transmission service, now I was really was on the impression you want to change the filter and complete flush of the fluid, I have gone to several fluid places and they all said the exact same thing "you do not change the filters on these cars you, its a screen and it comes clean with the fluid exchange" this is what I have been quoted from several places and a chain called Valvoline, and they also said the maxLife is WS ATF approved, which was good relief. a year ago I thought I would be bringing in toyota's fluid by the gallons for them to use. :-) I did the research on MaxLife and it is approved, but is the screen thing and not changing it the truth, they said most cars in the last 10 years use a screen and doesn't require servicing. any comments, I will need to make a decision soon.
