To cut a long boring story short. In our EBA (Wages and Conditions Agreement) if we are disrupted at work (for example the site I work on turns into a construction site and it's harder for us to do our normal job) we get a payment.
My work site was disrupted for about 6 weeks with jack hammers, trucks, noise, noise and more noise and all I ended up with was a lousy $45. We had to wait over 7 months to get the payment because management and the union did not agree with the amount offered.
Still it's $45 for me for vertually nothing.
