Here is a crazy idea - I was always thinking about trying to mount a shock (bike/motorcycle) somewhere on the top/side of the engine. If I remember correctly there are a couple of threaded holes on the bottom of the engine which have no screws and they are pretty good size. How about a piece of curved spring steel such as a leaf spring? It has just a little give. The point where it is mounted to the body or frame, a series of dampening washers could be used to cut down on vibration. They also usually have one side where a bolt can be used to mount it.
What do you guys think?? Easy, cheap and probably very effective.
