$27K is very reasonable for this car. You can pay more for a Camry Hybrid or Prius. And the Fusion is better than the Camry Hybrid (dare I say).

And if you're questioning Ford's quality, you're living in the past. The Fusion ranks up there with Toyota and Honda easily.
