Tachometer Illumination

So, I've searched and found a few threads regarding aftermarket tachometer illumination. I've wired up my Autometer Autogage tach, and now need to illuminate it.

I saw that you can use an add-a-fuse in slot #23 as shown here (I have the mini add-a-fuse, but it's only rated to 10 amps):

... and I've heard of people tapping into the stereo dimmer wire.

Can anyone give me a definite answer as to how to illuminate this tach? Is one way better than another?
