August 2009 - DFW Yaris Yak

Howdy folks,

August is just around the corner and it's time to start figuring out what's happening for the month and where we could meet up for another Yaris Yak. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to reply to this message or to PM me with the info to get it listed.

I don't see any holidays for the month of August on my calendar so it's all up for grabs. I've listed a few events that are happening around the area and provided links to each event's website or web page.

If you'd like to host a Yaris Yak, speak up. :) I'm sure we can find a few people to come by and eat all your food, drink all your drinks and cause problems with the local law enforcement agency.

Also, please feel free to suggest a drive-in diner in your area for us to meet at. Keller's has a couple of good locations in Dallas where we've been to before. I love the drive-in experience for a Yaris Yak since it's a relaxed way to hang out and enjoy some good eats and drinks.

August 1st & 2nd: OPEN

August 6th: !!!NST!!!

August 7th: Scion Drag-n-Brag at Texas Motor Speedway 6pm-11pm

August 8th & 9th:
8th - Midnight Madness - 9pm-Midnight (local fund raiser for 2 groups)
8th & 9th - 2009 Yellow Rose Classic Car Show - Will Rogers Memorial Center, Ft. Worth, Tx

August 11th: Yeah, my mistake. Mike from NST caught this and corrected me. There is nothing planned in Houston on this date.

August 15th & 16th: OPEN

August 22nd & 23rd:
22nd - Best Of The Best Car Show
23rd - Equipe Rapid Challenge Cup #6 - Pennington Field, 1501 Central Dr., Bedford, TX 76022.

August 29th & 30th:
29th - Cars & Coffee - Event starts at sunrise and ends at approx. 10:30am. I need to verify this so check back for updates.

Please make suggestions for places to meet, we love suggestions!
