Have you cleaned it really well and looked for any drips or oozes of oil? A leak doesn't have to look very bad to go through a lot of oil fast. The dealer shop mechanics insist on replacing the oil plug gasket at every change (and charge a crazy price for it!) If you see a drop hanging on the plug, that could be enough to explain your oil loss. Put paper under the engine and see if you collect any drips.
If it's burning the oil in the engine, it may not appear to smoke much because of the catalyst burning the oil. That might explain the O2 sensor going bad early. I think that's covered under the 80,000 mile emissions system warranty. |
