The Driver Side River

So Today was the first day I have driven my new Yaris in the Rain. And I can’t even begin to tell you how great it was. But not for the reasons you think.

I have been driving for 10 years, in that 10 years I have had 6 different cars. Out of those 6 cars only 2 of them had this wonderful feature, The Yaris being one of the 2.

Normally, when it rains it seems there is this “river” of water that goes across the drivers window. I am guessing the windshield wiper just pushes it right up, and since it has no where to go but back… It travels right across the window.

That makes it impossible to roll your window down when it’s raining… SO MUCH RAIN GETS IN.

Well today while driving my Yaris I noticed that there was no “River” Toyota designed a little gully to catch the rain water and direct it elsewhere!

The only other car was my ’91 Toyota Corolla.

Thank you Toyota for thinking of the little things, and designing around them!
