your dealer sounds shady.

for the spring/shock thing, there is NO way to put in the new shocks/strurs without having to replace the springs. NONE. the front is a macpherson setup, so they'd have to come apart to replace the struts. in the rear, the spring and shock are separate, yes, but if you have it on a lift (which they will) once you undo the bottom bolt of the shock, the torsion bar will open all the way and the oem spring will literally fall out. i had mine on jackstands and it did that when i put my coilovers on.

id be seriously weary of ANYTHING this dealer does for you...they really seem likely they're over charging you any which way they can.....whether or not you've been going there for 15 years....
