Custom harness bar
I spent some time with John Kuchta of Specialty Cars (a Yaris owner, "jkuchta" on here), and he fabbed up a nice harness bar for me. This one rotates on the lower seat belt bolt so both distance and height adjust. Double braces and very beefy Heim joints were used. I have to say, John is very very good!
We decided to make a bolt-in one because (1) someone else might want one and (2) when I do a weld-in full cage, we can remove this one and sell it. Got a little more tweaking to do on this prototype, then I can powdercoat it. We did this one so I could keep my X brace in place, as you can see on the rear plate close-up pic. Will he make you one? Yes. Are they cheap? No. Will this work with the back seat in? Not this design, you'd need one that attaches to the top seat belt bolts instead. Here are a few pics -- finally I get to use harnesses!
