not sure, never had a chance to install/listen to. they both are rated on tanabe's site as under 93 decibels throughout the entire rpm range. people i have talked to about them say they aren't raspy at all and produce a unique, deep exhaust tone. i will say the concept-g is a canister-style and the medallion is more the 'traditional' style if that makes a difference to you.
