Hey guys,
With the help of Bobolinko, I think I've come up with the easiest method and least invasive. Please see the attached pictures. The resistor used is a 10Kohms resistor (Brown - Black - Orange - Gold/Silver). It took only 5 minutes to put together (10 if you count the time sifting through a bag of resistors to find the right one ). With the right hand side unused headlight plug facing you, insert one spade connector into the right side of the plug and the other spade connector in the top-middle of the plug.
