VST EVR Fuel Pump
Has anyone seen these pumps in CA? I've noticed it at four gas stations so far, two 76, and two Chevron. There's only one notch to control the fuel flow instead of the usual two or three. VST is one of the manufacturer's, I have yet to see others.
What is Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR)? Enhanced Vapor Recovery or "EVR" refers to a new generation of clean nozzles and equipment that control emissions at gasoline dispensing facilities in California. By April 1, 2009, nearly 13,000 gasoline dispensing facilities in California will need to obtain permits, purchase EVR equipment, and have the installation performed by a certified contractor. See Advisory 373 or the EVR pamphlet for more information. Vapor recovery systems reduce gasoline vapor emissions, which leads to gasoline savings. California's total gasoline throughput is about 16 billion gallons per year. EVR Overview: http://www.evrhome.org/evr_pamphlet_aug08.pdf VST EVR Locations 76 - 1700 Powell St Emeryville, CA 76 - 27574 Bernard Drive Kettleman City, CA 76 - 500 Tennessee St Vallejo, CA Chevron - 2990 Travis Blvd Fairfield, CA Chevron - 401 Leavesly Rd Gilroy, CA Chevron - 1890 19th Ave San Francisco, CA It sounds like I'll be getting more gas. Sorry for the blurry pics, I didn't want to start a fire. Last edited by KrazyDawg; 10-19-2010 at 10:25 AM. |
