Skyscraper Brewing, Sat, Aug 21, 12-6pm.
Skyscraper Brewing, open house, Saturday August 21, 12-6 pm.
http://www.skyscraperbrewing.com/ Really enjoyed the beers and the fellowship. Planning the next one already Those who enjoyed: 1. yaris-me ![]() 2. BaknBlak ![]() 3. Fury85 ![]() 4. KRAZGRL ![]() 5. SilverBack Lug Nut Lager. Slight roughness and bite, full flavor, not watery. Don said, "Deutschey." I picked up a slight corn note. Sancha Mexican Lager. Corn and banana notes. mild and smooth, great pairing with corn tostitos. It was finished and different from what I tasted earlier. August, 8, 2010. Sacrificed myself again. Went there to check it out and forced myself to choked down 6 samples. ![]() 1. Bulldozer Honeyweizen. Dry full flavor hefeweizen, don't really pick up the honey. I'm not really a hefeweizen drinker, but I liked this. 2. Fireman Red Ale. Slight roasted flavor, maybe a dark chocolate note with a slight hop bite at the end. 3. Fireman Brunette Ale. Sweet with roughness and hop bite. I liked this better than the Fireman Red Ale. 4. Expresso Stout. Sweet with coffee flavor, smooth and easy to drink. 5. Sancha Mexican Larger. This wasn't ready, but I asked to try it. Corn bouquet and corn notes, sweet from residual sugar with slight sour. I found this an interesting beer that many would like. This would go great with corn tortillas. 6, Hefeweizen aged in Bourbon barrel. Strong Bourbon scent and flavor. Slight sweet and sour. A Bourbon drinker will love this. Their beers are good and have a higher alcohol content. I felt the kick later. Last edited by yaris-me; 08-22-2010 at 03:23 AM. |
