HVAC evaporator drain blockage...NOT

OK,

2010 Yaris 5 door US
----
rainy day, AC blasting, 90 miles drive

got home, noticed my weathertech mat had water on it
----

pulled out mat, pulled down carpet, pulled on evap hose,
clean water flowed out. there is zero blockage and I always
have used a filter.

I do NOT have particles or any debris blocking the drain. water
is extra clean.
----

What I suspect and what I did:

I think the rubber hose is too flimsy and unprotected, and it must have
had a kink in it

OR

A) the AC is far too efficient and it produces way too much water
on a rainy day

B) highway breeze pushing up against the tube exit drives the water back and it
cannot drain normally through the firewall

----
anyhow, what I did do was:

obtained a length of clear plastic tubing the same internal diameter as the
plastic nipple on the evap tank where the black hose attaches to the tank

shoved that hose up inside the black rubber tube as a sort of liner. Now it is
impossible to kink the flimsy rubber tube through the firewall, and I lost no
volume because the inside diameter is the same as the plastic nipple

the clear tube extends into my firewall an inch further than the black hose.

I will just have to see if this changes anything. i have to wait for a humid
rainy day where I am driving 90 miles with AC blasting....

anyhow...the TSB defect is not always debris in the evap tank, or anything to do with
the cowl debris screen size....there is some other design defect here.........

unless this is the
AC amplifier logic change....I can only guess they make it less efficient overall, or during humid
conditions to reduce the overall water production
