I wasn't trying to start an argument.

Just pointing out that when people ask for advice they generally aren't asking for genuine advice but instead reassurance so that they can go ahead and move forward with what they were going to do anyway but now feeling justified in doing so.

Didn't really have anything to do with expectations about the internet or otherwise. At no point was I saying people should expect sympathy, or even empathy for that matter, on the internet. In fact I'd assume most of the time you'll get the opposite.

But, most likely, you will find a few people in your corner and ignore the advice of all those who might disagree with you. That's just human nature. And that's all I was pointing out. It was just an observation mostly in response to some of the people on here getting all worked up over what Kevin does. And yes, I understand he asked but all you can do is throw in your 2 cents and move on. At the end of the day it's his call.

And the rest of us really don't have all that much at stake no matter what he decides to do.
