I did not check if it's like the previous games, an oil change as soon as you get the car (to performance oil, presumably) will give you a small power gain.

As you race the car more and more, it will require an oil change (a light will show up on the speedometer when racing), and you would lose engine power if you leave it unchanged.

Same goes with the engine and chassis refreshes, I suppose, no idea how long until they are really required, though!

As for washing the car, well, it gets less shiny over time :D

And yeah, I know what you mean about doing those kinds of mods in real life :D 150+hp without forced induction? would cost a pretty penny!
