The probelm is, starting in '09 Toyota used two different vendors for the linkage that the SS mounts on. Depending on which vendor they used, you might have to use a file or dremel to make it fit as the two linkages are slightly different from each other. This is due to the hole for the cotter pin is not always %100 clear and able to accept the pin easily because the SS sits a hair higher on the stock linkage pin. Even then, the hole is still always visible. On some with the linkage in question, all it takes is to gently tap the pin in once started in the hole. In any event, it ony takes a minuite or two with a file to rectify this and it's no big deal. IMO a newly designed/marketed SS should have been be machined to fit all '09 + linkages as the differnce between the two is extremely slight. Perhaps even a very thin shim could be supplied for use with older/other particular Yaris that need it although a shim would probably not even be nessary.
