2008 5 door Yaris 1.3 TR rear hub replacement.
Hi,
I have a 2008 5 door Yaris 1.3 TR hatchback with 42, 000 miles on the clock. I have recently noticed a droning noise which seems to be coming from the o/s/r of the car, I jacked up the car and spun the wheels and the offside rear feels rough compared to the others so I suspect it is this wheel bearing that is on the way out. There is a wire attached to the hub which I guess is the ABS connection. From what I can gather you replace the hub assembly rather than just the bearing, is this correct ?. Has anyone done one these ? It looks like it's held to the rear suspension with 4 bolts so wonder if it is a straight forward job ?. I have seen a few of these hub assemblies on E bay at various prices. Thank you in advance for any help. All the best John |
