I get those same letters from time to time. They have even offered more than the black book price. But what is the black book? Its not the blue book and not the kelly blue book price. Its a price that dealers have set to steal even more of your money when you trade your car in.

If you have to sell your Yaris, sell it outright. Sell it on Craigslist or in the local newspaper but never take it to a dealer. Dealers lie.....lie often....and lie professionally! The more you pay the more they will laugh at how stupid you were after you have left.

Never buy a car on one trip. Make them work for it. Remember to think long term and try to find a salesman who looks really pathetic and doesn't have a desk with photos of his family or awards on the wall. Then wait. Let the guy know you are interested for the right price and then go home. At some point, somebody will need to sell a car to meet their quota....or the dealer will need to sell a car to meet their dealership number to qualify for more money. '

This is a game and if you aren't willing to play it on their terms, you will be royally screwed!
