Noob turbo (zage) questions

Decided to start another thread as i have lots of really noob questions

Below is what I plan using for my oil return: 10AN fittings.

Question: Do i need any sort of paste or compound to assemble these things? There are not any sort of rubber spacers inside. It looks as if I just need to assemble them tight and aluminum against aluminum (convex vs concave surface) should provide a tight seal.

Opinions?
