Acoustic door lock signaling
Hi there,
some days ago, I've (almost) completed (will have to move it from unter the passenger's seat to the empty space behind the storage box on the same side under the dash) my "acoustic door lock signaling" (better name for it, anyone? )It still makes me chuckle every time I operate the door lock ![]() I've been inspired by http://fingers-welt.de/gallerie/eige...ete/troete.htm and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzlKUKPqD1A The big difference is that my circuit gets all information from the CAN bus - ATM it gets its power from a small 12V 7Ah SLA battery which lies under the seat - been to lazy to pull a wire from the fuse box up to now^^ I took a PIC32 board (sorry - not available on the internet, but every PIC32 with a CAN transceiver will do the trick) with a CAN transceiver and a display (rather for debugging reasons), connected it to a sound module (WTV020...) which plays converted audio files from a µsd card. The speaker is a complete door box from a BMW, I picked it up at the junkyard because I thought it was a subwoofer (another long-term construction site...). I've mounted it beneath the ECU, but I've been thinking about moving it from there to a place where it is easier to keep it from moving around while I'm driving. Well, here it is: http://youtu.be/PMyuqKP1JK8 |
