I was in the same situation like you but my car was off.

Tho AAA guy was able to open my doors in about 5 minutes.

He used this arm pressure thing (sort of like htat but without hte unit itself) and put it between my door and the body of hte car, than used a stick to move the lock on my passenger car...even a cave man could do it..
