averaged only 31.7 mpg on the Death Valley trip
mostly 75+ cruising
over mountain passes down below sea level lots of stopping 3 people - my 85 yo dad loves roadtrips! - and he pays for all the gas!  some luggage 50 lbs of collected rocks  new engine not broken in not too bad actually
