Post Election Stupor?

Just trying to follow the "no political posts" rule.

Since this is here, before it's deleted I'll say that I feel no different having Trump as our next president than I would have had Hillary won. Assuming he had no chance to win, I was preparing myself for her brand of evil rather than his, so some realignment has been necessary.

As someone who felt both choices were only further proof of how far we've gotten away from the republic our forefathers left us (and voted libertarian because of it), I'm left to simply cling onto the hope that our cartoon character, oompa loompa looking, slum lord, reality tv star and seemingly racist/sexist bozo of a president will have some success in running the country as a business in the way he claimed when slithering his way into office.

I am thankful that the 2nd amendment will be protected nationwide, but as a Californian, it won't help me. With the recent "gunmageddon" brought on by Gov Brown and with Prop 63 passing thanks to that tool, Gavin Newsome, we Californians will have our individual right to self defense infringed upon more than ever.

At the end of the day, we're still living in one of the greatest countries in the world at the most amazing time in human history, so I'm striving to remain positive.
