i bought Nite Fury (Midnight Yaris ) in 2007 ( 9 years ago) and finally done my last loan installment last month (rm98k/USD25k) (November).

after about 200k++ mileage driven i got it run into a local workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a major recondition.

diagnosed problem and projected work/labor:

a. engine overheating due to head/piston problem (deformed) - DO WHOLE ENGINE SWAP FROM HALF CUT
b. broken driveshafts - INSTALL NEW DRIVESHAFTS
c. fractured mounting - INSTALL NEW MOUNTING
d. suspension out of form - INSTALL NEW SUSPENSION
e. rotor disk worn out - INSTALL NEW DISKS
f. left and right arm broken - INSTALL NEW UNITS
g. alternator and compressor broken - INSTALL NEW UNITS
h. deformed 16" rims - INSTALL NEW 17" RIMS WITH 215 TYRES

cost: RM 15,000.00 - USD 4,000.00

duration : 1 week labor 2 dec - 6 dec 2016

So i am hoping my drive afterwards will be a closer one to a new ride...
i think my 'Nite Fury' shud get what it deserves after all these while being my ride. Close to a downpayment COST for a new car in Malaysia (Toyota Altis) i felt it awas worth an expenditure as she has been one sentimental value to me.

I am new here..hope to get along with senior forumers in da house..lol.
