I have a 2012 Yaris, so these figures may be a bit different for your echo.

The Australian manual for the Yaris lists a maximum trailer weight of 900 kg (1984 lb). This is reduced to 550 kg (1216 lb) if the trailer does not have brakes.

800 lbs is well within the capability of the Echo or Yaris.
