My Yaris is 10 y.o. :)
Yesterday was my car's 10th year of driving the roads. Since then it has sipped on 5,924 gallons (22,424 L) of gas for a total cost of $19,687 and taken me through 232437 miles (374,071 km) of roads. Including the cost of the car and all maintenance, I've done on it over the decade, I've spent an additional $26,160. That's a total of $45k. That's $4.5k per year with all gas included with an average of 23k miles driven per year.
When I first got my car I figured I'd sell it after it hit 100k miles, and I buy a new car. Then I got there and figured I'd fo to 150k, then I got there and knew I wanted to go for 300k. It'll probably reach 250k by the end of this road trip. It's been a great car even though it's had some issues, most likely due to my mistreatment of it in the early years. |
