Have owned a Yaris for 7 Days
So, my Ford Ranger has been having issues and I urgently needed a reliable vehicle to do the 85km round trip to work and back.
Surprisingly SWMBO was urging me to get something new and I was looking at a new Honda Civic with all the bells and whistles. However, we already knew of a work mate of my wife who had a 2008 Yaris that was surplus to his needs which we had passed on a month or so back. Rather than get into debt right now I had a look at this little thing and decided mostly for economic reasons to buy it. The intention being to pass it on to my daughter next year when she gets her licence. It’s now been 7 days, and the likelyhood of this car going to my daughter next year is looking pretty shakey. I’ve never owned a car this small but I’ve quickly gained an appreciation for the build quality, fuel usage and simplicity of the Yaris. My eldest daughter drives an echo and always raves about it and I finally get it. If this one ends up with the other daughter I can see myself getting another one.
