TRD Struts Longevity

Greetings!

My TRD springs, shocks, spoiler, bumper protector, and mudguards just came in today, and I am so excited to put them on.

However, as I was reading the information provided with each item, I noticed that Toyota stated that the shocks are only guaranteed for 20,000 km (12,500 miles) or 1 year. Does anyone else have experience running these shocks long term. Do I really have to replace these once a year?

Thanks.
