Idiot Toyota dipstick
Toyota is not perfect. There are examples of foolish things they have done. Lately it’s the cartridge oil filter for maybe the past five years. My 2020 corolla has gotten back to the spin on oil filter. Thank God!
Another dumb idea is the dipstick on my wife’s 2005 Camry. The dipstick is metal except for the last inch and a half which is plastic. Brown plastic so you can’t see the oil!  A couple of years ago the plastic part fell off into the engine! They didn’t see that coming I guess. The replacement I got was all metal thankfully
