Without topping off tank, how are you guys getting accurate mileage numbers

I figure that if I stop at the click everytime, that is pretty close to a set point everytime. I know that if I get to the "flashing last bar", I'm good for about 9 gallons.

Zero out your trip odometer. (if it is your fist time calculating) Fill up you tank until it auto cuts off. Drive until tank is near empty. (doesn't matter really 2 bars or whatever) Fill tank until it auto cuts off. Take your miles from the trip odometer and divide by the number of gallons used. This calculates MPG. Now zero out trip odometer for the next tank. Try to always use the same gas station and pump for a close as possible calculation. If not the calculations will only be off slightly.
