Not every headlight housing has a projector lens from the factory for HIDs. Prius, Navigator, QX56 are just a few examples of factory installed HIDs, without a projector lens. |

projectors > HID reflectors :)
but great score on some nice headlights. Hopefully the beam pattern is correct, you wouldn't want the light to shoot to the opposing lane instead of the right side. As for your connection issues, you CAN just hook them up to your stock harness, BUT its recommended that for the HID's you build a relay harness which will feed power straight from the battery. The reason is because HID's tend to draw a high amount of current during its initial startup and then drop to a low level after the bulb has been ignited, and over time that huge surge in startup current might be destroying something that wasn't designed to handle it. It's a safety precaution, and a recommended one at that. I've seen people with other cars that have had connectors and wires fry. |

It shouldn't be bad, at least no glazing I would say, as you can see the reflector patterns in the housing are totally different from the ones we have in North America.

GuySmily, Your diagram shows the connection for H4 HID bulb, will it work with the headlight unit? Can I not just match up the wires (high beam/DRL to halegon, parking to parking, and low beam to HID)? |

Sorry, wrong again. Your stock housing for example is a reflector, where as a projector lens directs the beam of light. The bulbs cover, the diffuser, in your stock setup, redirects the light back into the housing, then the housing "reflects" the light foward. re·flec·tor (rĭ-flĕk'tər) n. Something, such as a surface, that reflects. pro·jec·tor (prə-jĕk'tər) n. A device for projecting a beam of light GabL sorry for the post jack.. |

what do you mean by 'wrong again'? If I'm wrong for posting an opinion, just say so, you don't have to make me look like an idiot.
GabL, what you will want to do is make a separate wiring harness for the HID's. You will use the low-beam, and the high-beam as the trigger wires, but the high-beam wire will also go to the high-beam bulb. |

Corrected your wrong information given ("projectors are HID reflectors"), not making you look like an idiot.
