Do you need a passport to get back into the US yet?

I live in Michigan, and the wife and just came back across Canada from a trip to Niagra Falls. You don't have to have a passport, but I would certaintly recommend it. It took us 3 1/2 hours to get through the checkpoint coming back into the US from Canada. Their pretty strict (for obvious reasons). I think if you can hold off till later at night, the line shouldn't be so bad.

geuss you did not read the previous post? No you do not need a passport now, but they are making it hard if you do not..... if you read thought the quotes I have above it will give you all the info you need :)

Not legal...just "decriminalized"

Anyway, I'm in for sure! I love small road trips like that.
