We're using PENNZOIL Platinum 5w-20 in it for this stretch , haven't decided to continue it's use . So , call your TOYOTA service center for verification of T.S.B. in their computer system , number is EG018-06 .
I looked at the TSB on NapaFix, 5w-20 is listed for Toyota and Scion, 0w-20 is listed for the 2AZ-FE engine, not the Yaris 1NZ-FE engine...their *note* at the start of the article seems kind of confusing though:

Quote: "The recommended viscosity grade for this oil differs according to vehicle model. Use the recommended grade specified on the oil filler cap or in the Repair Manual or Owner’s Manual for each vehicle."

I think generally we think too much about the oil in the car. How would anybody REALLY know which oil is better than another? Are you analyzing the engine parts at a lab?? Seems silly to me.

I truly believe that if you use a name-brand oil with the recommended weight (5-20, 5-30, or whatever) and change your oil & filter frequently (every 3,000 miles or 5,000) your engine will last and last and last. The trick to longevity is keeping the engine oil clean, by frequently flushing it out with new, clean, oil. Beyond that, I have no idea how one would determine which oil works better.
