Picking a Third Party Candidate is an investment in new directions in the future. It's the only way to really grab the attention of politicians.

The strong showings of the Socialist Party in the 1920s and 1930s that helped to shape both Hoover's and Roosevelt's policies. No Socialist Party candidate ever won the White House yet Hoover proposed "Old Age Pensions" and began the New Deal as best he could - Democrat Propaganda to the contrary. Roosevelt's meddling is a matter of history and a point of pride to many Democrats.

As I see it there are more options today than either chump change or four more years of Empire.

hoover was a great business man... but not president... he blamed the common citizen for having a hard time during the depression.

Agreed about having a strong third party.... Clinton never would have been elected in 92 if it wasn't for the strong third party presence.... forced bush & clinton to actually talk policy instead of drama.

in canada we have 5 viable national parties, having said that, it really is still a two-horse race.

Good stuff. It's like forcing yourself to buy a shitty Chevy or Ford simply because there're more of them on the road than a quality Yaris. I voted the last two election against the democrat. I feel that if I can not honestly say I would vote for someone I won't vote for them. Neither of these guys are good for the country or personal freedoms. Again, if the chevy sucks and the ford sucks I'm not buying either one.

It used to be a vote was something a politician had to earn, not expect or depend on.
