need quick help

my dvd player arrived and i have one wire not used in the bundle .. its labled SVC its brown and s described as the "Key Control Line of Steering Wheel"

what does that mean?

Also I dont seem to have a line for the amp.. can i use the blue remote ant line?

I would HAVE to guess that it's for Steering wheel control.

if you are looking for a remote turn on power, you should be able to use the remote/ ant lead. as for ur brown, it is probably for certain makes and models with factory steering wheel controls to integrate with deck

okay have it all installed.. only one big flaw thus far.. maybe some oversight on my part..

video works sick, ipod connection works great. but i was getting engine interference.. like hearing the engine whine durring any audio play.. i found when i disconnect the antenna from the car to the back of the unit the noise stops...

why would i get engine interference from the antenna?

lol i made one other mistake that i fixed.. there were two orange wires .. one on the HU called reversing control or something and the harness had an orange for illumination.. i connected oranges together .. not thinking and was telling the car it was backing up whenever i put on the lights lol.. i was stumped for a min and remember that was one that I wasnt 100% sure on ... so its all set now..


i will say i am disapointed at the lack of audio options on this HU.. very basic treb/bass/and bal etc.. no sub output settings, frequency.. etc... which i really liked from my other head unit.. another drawback is the space i have on both sides of my HU now between the HU and the dash trim.. i might have to fiddle with it later it came with two little black plates that i will try to find a place for .. would make sense if thats their purpose.. this sucker came with no instructions on setup..

i also wired the brake to the ground on the back so it wont block me from video :)
