Finally, if the hi beam / low beam kit does use debased bulbs, is there any way to get ones that are between 4300 - 5000k?

4300 to 5000k bulbs are supposedly the best types to use when using stock reflectors instead of using projectors.

Debased bulbs?

Again, these kits are H4 fittment, exactly what comes original equiptment size in your Yaris.

There is not "adapters" to make them from one size, to another.

To answer your last question, I believe he has a few different K ratings to choose from, but comparing light output to headlights with or without projectors, is like comparing apples to oranges.

A projector retrofit with HIDs, is hands down the best way to go, if you know what your doing to make it work correctly.

I've been asking around HIDPlanet for some advice and they told me that if I'm gonna be doing a drop in kit and be keeping my stock reflectors then the best k rating to use are between 4000 to 5000 k bulbs.

Thats correct. Most "useable" light.. Just about every car company that has HID/Xenon's as factory equiptment, uses bulbs in that K range.

From experience, 8oook and 1o,oook may look nice, but you cant see the road for chit! These bulbs in this original post of mine, and the ones I am currenty using/selling, are labled I think higher then they should be... this is a nice crisp bright white with what I have now. No where near the bluish/teal color like the higher K bulbs.

Excellent. Now I have to decide whether I want to get fog lights or your HID kit first.

The Yaris uses a single bulb for low beam and high beam so if you got the low beam kit, you'd have low beam only. At least that's what I got from all of this.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Actually, shouldn't that be "EAGLEYE"?

Do you know if the High/Low is kit plug & play as well or does it require any cutting of the housing?

This is what has me concerned: (see step #1): http://www.namyung.co.kr/english/hotproduct/hidh4.asp

It may just be drilling a small hole for a mounting screw.

EagleEye and SmartEye are essentially the same brands.
They are manufactured by Guangzhou Hinux Electronics Co., Ltd.

Yes, you guessed it, that is a Chinese manufacturing company.
Nothing to fear, as SmartEye/EagleEye kits are good quality from what I've read and heard.

I can answer that - Yes.

I'm probably going to get a set myself. I'll share my impression of them here if I do.

High/Low's require NO MODDING/CUTTING Etc. of your housing..

Difference between the single low beam, and high/low beam H4 kits, is the high/low base of the bulb is extended (longer) then the single.

This, again, is like the HID/xenon used on the Toyota Prius. When engaging the high beams, the actual bulb itself, "snaps" back and up, to project the light "up wards."

I need to gather up all my post reply's, as Im repeating myself over and over..

Go to this site to see more about the kit Chris is selling:

http://plasmagarage.com/

You'll see pics. of the ballasts, harnesses and the high / low beam HID bulb used in the kit. Also, their price for the kit that does high / low beam is $328.75 shipped via 2 day UPS.

I'll probably buy the kit from them and then replace the ballast that the kit comes with, with some Denso ballasts that Toyota uses in their other cars.

Chris, sam07 said this:

"I am happy with the results and during the process of my HID retro I noticed at the bottom of the headlights there is a square space with screw holes into it. I noticed that this resembles an HID ballast location for our headlights *OEM fitment* as well as the D4R classification implanted in the back of the headlight*hid bulb* also."

Did you notice these square spaces for the ballasts in your LB?

PM me for lower prices then that site.

Here's how the high/low kit looks.. notice the difference in bulb base, compared to the single H4 bulbs.

http://plasmagarage.com/H4BiXenonIns...otaTacoma.html

Be sure to play their quick video to see them in action!
