Yeah, the "with" was a typo. I meant to say "without the need of the tray".

A/C smell
I have the same problem with my 2007 sedan. The dealer sprayed Lysol into the vents while it was running and it really didn't help. Usually, increasing the fan speed stops it for a while. I'd love to know what to do to fix it.

Go to Pepboys, Autozone, Checker's Auto Parts, Napa Auto, etc. and get a Purolator C35667. Fits perfectly without any trimming.

I just checked my 08 HB and no filter!
I guess AutoZone is one of my stops on my way home today! Cheers! M2 |

OK, I'm 99.9% sure, but just to add that 0.01%...
The filter arrow should be pointing down when install it, right? Cheers! M2 |

The car's manual says the arrows should be pointing up.

Re: "wet" A/C smell
When I went to pick up my car, my dealer told me it's a good idea to leave the air vent open when you're done using the a/c because this allows any liquid in the system to hopefully evaporate and help prevent that mildewy scent from developing in the car. Don't know if it's true, but I figure it can't hurt so I just try to remember to open the vents whenever I'm parking the car somewhere for more than a few minutes.

None of the Yaris's shipped to the USA came with a filter. Have you bought one yet. I would not go to autozone. Since you are in Tx, go to O'Reilly's. They have one for $8.99.
