I have the same problem with an outside tree decoration. You know, the one that goes with the animated deers. It went out last year so I got lazy and didn't fix it before Christmas was over lol. Gotta tackle it this year. Hopefully I can find a soot bulb to replace it. If not, then there are many trial and error takes I'm gonna have to do. We just pulled down all the Christmas stuff from the attic yesterday.

It's deer Treyz, not deers. Haha, I'm just messing with you but I gotta uphold my Midwest roots.

That's why I bought an LED Christmas tree from KMART. http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_1...B390302110001P
I bought it Saturday for $400.00! I was showing it to a co-worker this morning on line and saw it was $100.00 cheaper today!
I'm taking my reciept back to get my $100.00.
It is an awesome tree and uses 80% less electricity than standard bulbs with no fire hazard what so ever. The colored bulbs are so vibrant.

Actually, Home Depot had one very similar (not GE though), 7.5" and LED lights for $49 on black friday, we put it up this weekend, not bad at all considering how cheap we got it.

Good luck with the lights, but next time better get some LED's , that's all we use on our decorations.

I think I'll get a new one after Christmas when they all go on sale. Maybe an LED tree if I stumble upon one.

I helped my bestie put her up tree last week.. she's never put it up before and the middle strand was out on her's too!!! She decided there weren't enough lights on it ANYWAY so she strung another 3 strands on there, haha. I spent half an hour untangling all the lights, I think I've got that part down quick now LOL

someone should create Christmas lights that are self winding like an extension cord, tape measure, etc. they would be time saving, space saving and less likely to break.
