I pay about 1,000 a year for my 07 HB and a 2005 Pontiac G6. I do not carry full coverage on the Yaris. I live in Central Florida. When I lived in South Florida the same coverage was around 1,500

I just paid my 6mo. premium for my 2010 Yaris and 97 Nissan truck. Full coverage on the Yaris and liability on truck. Total bill after discounts: $495.15.

Geez, I'm paying $1,488 a year with Geico. 100/300 liability, $1,000 deductible collision. No accidents or tickets in 20 years. Am I paying too much??

For only one car? I'd say so. Those are high rates. Geico is actually known for that (despite their commercials; I know from personal experience as I used to have them).

Try shopping around. You'll see that you can get a much better rate for similar insurance. Shopping around every few years is actually not a bad idea.

Ah...the joy of being old, married and a clean driving record (no tickets/accidents since 1989). I think I pay about $600 per year for full coverage with very high limits, $500 deductable, free towing, free glass replacement and under-insured coverage. It also helps to be with the same insurance company for 20 years.

I’m insured in PA...

Full (Tort) Coverage
50/100/50
($50,000 – Bodily Injury Liability/$100,000 – per accident/$50,000 – Property Damage Liability)
$5,000 – Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
$15,000 – Underinsured (not-stacked - only one car)
$15,000 – Uninsured (not-stacked - only one car)
Comprehensive – $500 deductible
Collision – $500 deductable
Discounts: New Car, Passive Restraint, Anti-Theft Device, Safe Driver, Accident Free

Male mid-forties, clean record – no accidents, no points...

Nationwide Insurance
Present premium:
$287 – six month
$574 – yearly

I just found out from my insurance agent that my premium will be going up
Effective May 1, 2010 to:
$301 – six months
$602 – yearly

I’d like to keep it under $300 for 6 months! Probably will have to drop it down to 25/50/25 and raise the Underinsured and Uninsured Insurance up to $25,000? It just makes me mad that law-abiding citizens are being penalized by paying insurance (way too much) for those who are obviously breaking the law by not having any insurance! *Sigh*

I'm 23 with a clean record too, no accidents or tickets ever.

And the only reason I got quoted so much according to the agent is because of my lack of years driving which is bullshit because this year will be my 6th year driving.

How fucking long do they want you to drive so they won't charge you an arm and a leg? 100 years?

My insurance is $479 for a 6 month premium. And I'm 21 with a speeding ticket, and a brand new yaris 2010 on financing so it has to have full comprehensive/collision coverage. Insurance: Mercury Insurance, locale: CA. Lol new car insurance is expensive.

My insurance (from Hartford ins) is only $568 for the entire year and it is not a bare bones policy!
This includes an AARP discount. If are any other AARP members here, it is well worth looking into.

It is the same coverage that "State Farm" wanted $1,170 for a year!

I have The Hartford through AARP too for $682 a year. Car insurance seems to be the only advantage of age.
