Without triangulated bracing, a roll cage does nothing for rigidity, and very little for added safety. I paid less then what RHD want for my extensive welded in cage, but my cage had to comply with the requirements of our local governing body of motorsport in Australia. The Cusco/ Safety 21 cages are not FIA homolgated and do not comply so we can't use them anyway.

Yeah , I really didn't think about how use-less(for real track-use) the cusco cage is . So what kind of car did you have that cage welded in ??? Yaris ?

I wouldn't even consider a cusco cage for anything but a show car.

getting a cage designed for your car usually ends up cheaper and safer and stiffer.

even if you only did a rear cage that didn't go forward of the driver you'd notice an improvement (far more then you are now with the bolt ons).

that and you could get a harness bar put in ;)
