The quotes I got are with tax

Anybody who pays $2000 for tax on a Yaris probably spent about $20k more than they should have on it in my neck of the woods

then go for it, if thats what it costs out the door and after tax... The sales record on my yaris I bought, she paid over 17 after everything, she drove it for 4k miles, I picked it up off her for $12,400 + 200 for registration and custom plates which I haven't got yet With the money I saved I put it into stuff I wanted

I'm planning on it...these are awesome little cars! One of the lots I looked at had a used one on it with 7k miles that I could have sworn was marked at like 14,500

That's kind of the situation I've been running into...the used ones are up for sale for as much as the new ones in a lot of the autotrader and craigslist ads I've seen in my area. I expect that from a dealer, but for sale privately it was kind of shocking!

I've noticed that. People always say that if you buy slightly used you'll save a lot, but to me the $1000 isn't worth it.

I also paid cash and paid Invoice (he showed me the invoice, and it matched what was on Edmunds) minus the $1000 rebate from Toyota, so $1000 under invoice, plus taxes and license.
