Ha, Toyota got us on the other end: the valves are non-adjustable, non-hydraulic, and the whole top end of the engine (cam box) will have to be torn down periodically to adjust any valve that is out of the clearance spec. I'll put up with some clacking rather than go through this $700- service befor 100K miles. BTW, timing chain tensioner are historically very troublesome. I like belts! Gee, why does a Lexus LS430 V8 have timing BELTS? Give me a couple strong belts!
