I thought it might have been the brake pads too, you know the low pad indicator, but it's not the same sound. I'm at about 25k miles, pads are like new when I looked at them.
To test the brake concern of your Uncle. Go on a drive apply enough pressure to the brakes to where you are still moving, still hear the clink clink? Do you feel any response in your foot? If yes to first, no to second- possibly not the brake pads. (that's what I forgot to mention before, I did that test too) Letting you know: Other possibilities, at first thought the dealorship might think it's a CV boot/Axle. Well, get back with us.
