Whats needed to turbo charge the yaris?

Yes i know this but also the land of hustlers, Im trying to get info on what i would need and what would work so i go into it understanding the whole process better..

Look over here they turbo a go cart fine.. a friend has a WRX and recently spent a ton of cash to put in a Turbo.. after 3 months the turbo was done
The Car never worked well he had to take the turbo out , he didnt know what he was getting into and the guys that did the job didnt give a rats ass

i wanna research on how its done whats needed and what i should expect from the finished job.
