on a related note, has anyone managed to find a leather shift boot for this short shifter? or would it need to be custom-made?

It would, but it is an ugly rubber piece, which is why I'm wondering about a nice stitched leather boot

I mean, what's the point of a sporty short gear stick with a momo gear knob, if there's this ugly square ribbed plastic pyramid underneath?

I also have another question.The transmission stick is covered by a black rubber material.Will it be used after installing the short shifter?

See, your cover is made from leather and mine is made from hard plastic.How will it fit now?

I installed my TWM short shifter today. It is awesome.
Very happy with it. I wasnt able to take pics today, but I will tomorrow. I also installed a shift knob that is almost an exact match to the integrated audio center dash.(the beige-silver metallic color) It feels awesome. I definately need to get a different shift boot though. As I'm sure anyone else who got one of these knows, the shift boot is way too huge for the short shifter. Anyways, the install took me about an hour and a half, but only because it took so damn long to get off this one piece. Of course my dremel wasnt working so I had to pry for like 45 minutes at this little washer-like piece. Once that was off it was 1-2-3. Overall - very happy.

I'm glad to hear you're happy with the short shifter! We're considering offering a boot for the Yaris as well to replace the stock rubber boot. I'll be sure to let everyone know when it's ready!
