It's also extremely DANGEROUS. That coil is wound to hundreds of pounds of pressure, the energy has to go somewhere...

i assume he has to take the spring off to make the cut, so that shouldnt be an issue.

i know you can take half a coil off without effecting spring rate. a full coil may be pushing it.

Anytime you lower a car, you will effect ride quality. the biggest issue is the effect on the dampers, they just dont work as well lowered. your suspension geometry is altered as well. if you cut your stock springs, alot of times, it will be worse that using proper lowering springs. if you want to lower it a little and retain a somewhat factory ride, you should use the tanable NFs. they are just slightly stiffer than stock and just over an inch of lowering.
