run the oem wattage bulbs. anything higher than oem wattage will hurt wiring.

It is just like any other wiring, including home electrical. the wires in your house leading to your light bulb fixture are meant to have a certain amount of current running through them...if your home fixture recommends a 45 watt bulb, if you put a 120 watt bulb in it, expect the socket wiring to melt or the wires leading to the socket to melt and cause a fire. same deal with your car. will a 5 watt higher bulb ruin the wiring harness? doubtfull, but if it does, dont expect warranty coverage and expect all the naysayers to say "i told you so"...
